Spicy Pasta alla Vokda
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 yellow onion
- 3-4 cloves of garlic
- 1/2-1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 28oz crushed tomatoes
- 1 c vodka
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 c chicken stock
- 3 c water
- 1 lb cavatappi (or other pasta)
- 1/4 c heavy cream
- burrata and basil for serving
Directions
- Saute olive oil, onion, garlic and red pepper flakes in dutch oven
- Add crushed tomatoes, vodka and salt; stir
- Add chicken stock, water, and pasta; bring to a boil
- Add heavy cream and cook for seven minutes or until noodles are tender
- Serve with burrata and basil
